Demoncat


The Demoncat is found throughout the tropical regions of Gorgamelle, being at home in all sorts of terrain. Demoncats have developed the latent psionic power of all cats into a very useful form, being able to see a small distance into the future, albeit in an imperfect form. This makes them a bane to hunters, who are almost never able to successfully trap or stalk them. It also makes them deadly fighters since they are able to anticipate almost any move by a foe, allowing them to strike at vulnerable places with ease and avoid counter attacks with contemptous grace. If a Demoncat knows it is outmatched, it will flee, and if flight is impossible, simply lie down and wait for the inevitable. Despite the difficulty in trapping them, Demoncats are favoured pets and status symbols for Khish nobilty partly due to their deadly elegance, their flowing strength and beautiful dark blue-black coats, and partly because they make superlative guards.
