Inithra

 

Inithra serves the Fon by using his magical powers to spy for him, to guard against other spies of a magical kind and (if needed) to provide magical firepower. He is also working on magical traps, to protect the Fon's treasures. In return he has been given rooms in the palace and support for his magical studies.

While his field of study - extraplanar worlds - is not of itself fearsome, the servants dislike him and give his rooms a wide berth. This is because of his personality which is cold, and allof. The servants always assume he is planning something nasty - and others have made the same assumptions. As a result he has no friends in the palace except his apprentices. That suits him fine - it avoids distractions and he likes the respect he gets. On the other hand his connection to the others in the palace is therefore minimal and he will try to avoid putting himself in danger for them.

In appearance, he is bent and wizened, although still vigorous enough. He is of Harrar stock. He keeps his gray hair cropped very short - nearly shaven, and walks with a stoop. His voice is sepuchral and he speaks slowly and precisely - although he likes to curse, he does that in a methodical fashion too.
