Inisai

Inisai is a small wiry man of the tribes of the Deserts of Lamentation. His parents were Ra'ites and when thier family was taken by the Saharnian Nightguard, Inisai only escaped execution because of his youth, and winsome good looks which softened the heart of one of his guards. When questions were raised as to his escape, Inisai had no qualms turning his rescuer in to the Nightguard. His new captor had spent may years fighting the desert tribes and decided that a youth so amoral could easily serve his ends. Inisai was cossetted and spoiled and eventually sent back to the tribes as a spy and traitor. He worked to this end for several years, being well rewarded, before his "master" was transferred elsewhere by the Temple. Inisai went along, ostensibly as a bodyservant. In fact, he was trained in the lethal arts that can be practiced with hands or innocuous objects and became an assassin, who used his charm to worm his way into his victim's confidences before striking when least expected. He also became adept at stalking victims and gauging their weakness, before striking. Inisai enjoyed the thrill of seduction, but took no particular pleasure from the lethal outcome of his work. He simply felt that one does what one has to, to survive. In the course of his work, Inisai became a user- and eventually addict - of the stimulamt khurran. He now suffers from the bleeding gums and bloody spittle of the Khurran addict, though he cleans himself up when working. His master tolerated this because it gave him a hold on his assassin. Eventually, however, his master fell afoul of the Temple authorities who charged him - and Inisai - with immorality. Inisai escaped (thanks to his particular skills) and now is a fugitive. He feels no particular bitterness over this turn of events and doesn't regret the fate of his master. He has long since ceased to expect much good of life.
