Aba'berra the Dark

No-one knows why Aba'berra the Dark came to Shassamanse, and very few know where he comes from at all. In appearance he could eaily pass for an elderly Keshite, being dark-skinned, bald-pated and wrinkled, although his accent marks him as a foreigner. Despite his apparent age, he is spry and healthy enough, and he has a mild, even scholarly, mien, whichoften leads those who meet him casually to overlook him. However, few in the city would care to meet him casually, or indeed meet him at all. Hardly anyone outside the Fon's guard can say exactly why this is, but even in a group that includes such as Malawa, cursed priest of the Redgod, he is not regarded as pleasant company.

Aba'berra actually comes from the land of the wyvern-riders, a dark and secret-cursed coast, and he is a necromancer with a particular interest in raising undead of all kinds. He has never discussed why he left his home, but Shasshamanse provides him with the sort of place where he can indulge his interests. Prisoners who displease the Fon routinely end up in his hands, and they are never seen again - although their disappearance is rarely quiet. The servants in the palace will always go the long way round to avoid passing near his rooms. He tries to keep them out of sight, and dispose of them when he is finished, but he normally has one or two undead in his rooms.

Aba'berra has no particular combat techniques as such - he prefers to get out of the way as soon as possible, and send one of his undead servitors to take care of any trouble-makers. If he has to get involved in a fight, he will try to lurk out of sight and raise any fallen warriors as zombies to do his dirty work for him. Despite this, the Fon is willing to indulge him. Not only is his reputation worth 20 strong warriors, but the Fon hopes he can find some clue to the legendary treasure of Shassamanse.

Aba'berra the Dark was generated using the Mage career from the Random Character Generator. His spells are detailed in the Grimoire
