Bolg Skullsplitter

 

Bolg is a Vanaquisl Hero-warrior. He was rescued from death at the hands of an opponent by Halstar and Dralar many years ago. He has stayed with them ever since. No-one knows much about him since he keeps pretty much to himself, but his preferred attire (rich but filthy robes) his appearance and his rumoured powers make him generally disliked. Further, he has a way of popping up to offer advice that seems meaningless to others, about how the flight of the birds this morning suggests it would be propitious to sacrifice a sheredid before going fishing or the like - most people regard him as a bit touched.

However, Bolg is more than that. On his hero-quest many years ago, he managed to bind a demon as his totem spirit, whiich gives him access to awesome powers in combat (like most hero-warriors Bolg is not much interested in non-combat magic). Unfortunately, his demon mentor is easily offended if not propitiated (the burnout on Bolg's spell powers) and when offended can take over Bolg's body for a little amusement. During this period, Bolg is likely to indulge in bizarre if not down-right antisocial behaviour - thus his reputation.
