This page once held instructions for installing and setting up the freely available City Of Hero Character Creator from NCSoft.
However, I was informed (via a DMCA take-down notice) that although the software was made freely available by NCSoft, that I did not have permission to distribute it. Since NCSoft no longer distributes this software, either, I must conclude that they do not want it distributed at all. Despite my opinions on the current status of copyright law, I do not condone breaking those laws. Do they need to be changed? Absolutely, and I encourage you to work toward that end. Until then, obey them to the best of your understanding of them.
Therefore, I have removed the instructions from this page.
However, it is not all bad news. The online computer game Champions Online has a completely free, functional demo which offers the same funtionality as the City Of Hero Character Creator, and allows you to play the opening scenario of Champions Online, as well. So how can you lose with that? Go download it and install it, and have some fun.
