Dukka
The dukka is a small, elegant looking animal. Males have elaborate
branched horns with up to a dozen tines, while females have two
unbranched horns. Wild dukka live in inaccessible mountain areas and
are exceedingly nimble. They can leap surprising distances and are
quite fearless on the heights. Dukka are also domesticated in the
northern parts of Gorgamellle and are treasured for their long shaggy
coats that can be shorn to give incredibly fine, soft wool.
Dukka-wool rugs and cloaks, woven in the sinuous patterns of the
Olmai, are precious trade goods which are often carried as far as
Dymeria and are dispersed even further afield from there.
