These maps are scanned from a facsimile publication of the Blaeu's Toonneel der Steden from 1652. If you chose the GIF version you will get a 640x480 image: the JPEG versions offer more detail but are rather large files and will therefor take some time to load.

Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology - Horror, Commercial
Despite the lurid title, Rossell H. Robbins' "Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology" is an excellent reference that offers a historical view of witchcraft. The bulk of the entries deal with events in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Also includes an excellent bibliography of over 1,000 citations. The book is out of print, but it has been enormously popular (when compared with most scholarly works on witchcraft), has been reprinted many times, and is available from a number of used bookstores both online and off.
